Terms And Conditions of Trade

In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

“Client” means any individual, firm or corporate body (which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its successors and assigns) which makes a booking with the Company;

“Company” means Tony Mulley & Rachel Davenport trading as The Medieval Rats, 13 Regent Street, Stotfold, Herts. SG5 4ED

“Confirmation” means the notification made by the Client that they wish the The Medieval Rats to proceed. This notification is subject to these Terms and Conditions;

“Quotation” means any written quotation submitted by the Company to the Client.

All offers, quotations & orders accepted by the company are subject to our terms and conditions, which we reverse the right to alter without notice

An order is accepted upon receipt of a 25% deposit and appropriate measurements. Please note deposits are non-refundable

Final payment is due upon completion of the garment, and prior to delivery of goods.

Goods will remain the property of the company until payment has been received in full.

Prices do not include postage and packing; this is charged at extra cost. Postal costs given are estimates and may be subject to change without change

Prices do not include any costs incurred if we have to travel to you for fittings.

If a payment is returned unpaid by our bankers for any reason, all related costs and charges will be passed on to the customer, and the company may charge an administration fee

Delivery dates are subject to change and cannot be guaranteed, although we will try our best to honour any deadline.

Delivery is subject to fittings where appropriate; failure to attend fittings will delay delivery.

Failure to attend fittings, provide accurate measurements or weight gain / loss may well affect the fit of garments; and we shall not be held accountable for any of the above.

Problems must be notified to the company within 7 calendar days of delivery.  Items must then be returned, or a return or fitting date agreed, within 28 calendar days of delivery. After this deadline, all returns / alterations are solely at the discretion of company. All alterations are charged for at our going hourly rate.

The company cannot be held liable for delays caused by conditions beyond the companies control, such as war, threat of war, riots, intervention by governmental authorities, flood, fire, acts of God, strikes, breakdown of machinery, shortage of materials needed in manufacture (or of fuel), illness, or any other contingency which hinders delivery or manufacture, and which is out of the control of the company.  The company shall be under no obligation for loss or damage incurred or sustained by the customer.

Garments MUST NOT be machine washed
